new cardi

I need to find a new cardigan. I think it is so hard to find 50ish cut cardigans that doesn't cost a fortune. Maybe these would be perfect for my 50s dresses.

Celiac

I have in the last 3 months struggled with severe hives (the reason I have not made that many outfit posts. I have only been able to wear three different dresses because of the itching). My doctor has taken lot of tests and now have the answer: celiac intolerance. Of course I am glad that it is nothing serious! But it will be one big change in my eating habits. I have never thought about that there is gluten in that many food products. I went a little panicked when I saw that I am not allowed eat potato chips, french fries and drinking beer. It's not that I do it every day, but I love a cold beer and chips in the weekend. Now if you are thinking: 'well then drink a glass of red wine and eat chocolate' - I can't! I am not allowed to drink red wine because of my rosacea (yes I have that to - I am a bit of a freak) and all the chocolate I have found contains gluten. So I'm trying to find inspiration for food and snacks alternatives that are gluten free. Fortunately, we are soon off to the United States where there is a much larger selection of gluten-free products than Denmark. But if anyone knows any good glutenfree recipes or blogs - please send them my way!

Maybe?

I am trying to persuade my BF and brother that we have to visit Memphis & Nashville on our road trip. I mean we are so close to both cities - so I have to go! It is only a 7 hour drive from Gatlinburg. You can only drive for 5-6 hours in Denmark, and then you are out of the country. I guess that just shows how small Denmark is.

No shopping

So I am not allowed to do ANY shopping before our US trip......but that doesn't mean that I can't look at pretty dresses on Etsy.

One talented BF

My very talented boyfriend (www.juulp.dk) has decorated Gentofte hospital with his beautiful pictures. It was a great experience to see all his pictures hang so beautiful around the entire hospital. I am so proud of him !!

Weekend bits

One busy weekend! My parents came to visit and to babysit Karl. Friday we celebrated my sister in law, Jana's birthday at Smuk festival. Lots of music, beer and good people.

Saturday we had a barbeque in the back yard with all the neighbours. The weather was not that good but we are vikings, so we didn't care. We got new neighbours from the US and they are so nice. Their daughter Maya made whoopie pies.... and OMG they were so good!

Sunday it literally rained ALL day. So we stayed inside played, watched cartoon and fixed my 'new' vintage dresses from Eba

End of summer

The summer is soon over - and hopefully the temperature will fall a bit (yes I know a lot of people who thinks I crazy for saying that..... but seriously I am just not person who likes hot weather) It has been a great summer and I got to spend it with so many wonderful people. I am so grateful to have so many lovely people in my life.

A broken toe

I broke my toe yesterday for 4th time in 3 years. I was in a hurry to get out the door and I hit my toe against the door. It was so painful and I couldn't wear my shoe. But I was running late so I hopped on my bike with only one shoe on and in so much pain. So because of that stupid toe, I have been on bed rest and searching for places to go on our trip to the US. I may have found one of the most beautiful (expensive) resorts ever. It looks like something from a movie and looks so Southern.

A farewell party

Our wonderful neighbours are moving to Greenland for 3 years. It so sad to see them go, and we'll miss them  so much. (Karl already miss his friends a whole lot) Anywho all the neighbours meet up at their summer house and had a little farewell party. It was one of those night were everything was spot on: the people, kids, food, drinks, wheather, sunset, bonfire.
